About Family Dispute Resolution

(also know as mediation)

Family Dispute Resolution is a process by which people who are in conflict or simply seek to be supported to communicate with each other about what is important for them and how to make decisions relevant to resolving their dispute.

You do not need a referral to contact us however if you have a solicitor you may be reading this information as they have referred you so that we can assist your family to develop a parenting plan in the best interest of your children.

The process is easy:

Step 1: We meet with each parent or primary caregiver individually to assess suitability to proceed with mediation.

Step 2: Attend mediation

Step 3: If agreements are reached a Parent Plan will be written and issue to you. 

As registered practitioners we can issues Section 60i certificates if requested and only after process is followed.

What’s involved:


Assessment (Individual session with each parent up to two hours)

Mediation Session (all parties present, 1/2 day)

Parenting Plan and / or agreements reached written and sent to both parties after the mediation.

Issuing of section 60I certificate (if requested) will be produced upon full payment of fee’s. Failing that a fee of $375 inclusive of GST applies.

Payment is required prior to the appointment. You will receive a letter outlining fee’s and payment options.

Cancellation fee of $750 applies for less than 72hours hours notice.
